Yanni violin scores

May 10, 2009 at 04:57 PM ·

Hi,

I though it would be great to have the violin scores of the Live at the Acropolis pieces.  I checked on the net, found a piano book but "Within attraction" is not in it and this is my favorite.  Do you know where the scores of the Live at the Acropolis pieces are (are the violin parts available)?

Yesterday, I improvised a little of these pieces by ear and my family was more excited than when I usually play.  Lets admit that it is pretty entertaining!  In addition it is stress free for the violinist!!! (except the "duel" solo that is another story with all its "jazzy" techniques)

Sometimes, you just don't feel like playing something complicated that is not ready for family and relatives and this is a one of the MUST HAVE in these situations ; )

Thanks!!!

I appreciate your comments!

See the website for Yanni Chryssomallis (born 1954):

http://www.yanni.com/Music.aspx

His "new age" sheet music is published by Hal Leonard, which has 3 piano arrangements, 1 guitar and 1 marching band arrangement available.

His orchestra music is available only when he is performing.

learning violin ,is it difficult?

at first , all of us werw searching about the best instrument that is the best ! but never thought that if we can or no! then ,suddenly we saw a film on TV that Giden Kremer is playing, or our friend gave us yanni's CD and violin attracted us!

we speak with teacher or a solist they tell us about difficulty of learning. And when we tell about our decision we heard :"raelly! can you do it? it is the most difficult instrument ......."

But we take our plunge about learning......................

now , it is the first class. teacher teaches how to keep violin!  And other sations just  lift fiddlestick and other sations.............................

teacher tells us that you should practice 3hours a day & we want to do it ,but it's sound..........! "like a crow!" Others tell us!

4 mounth later........ huray.......wow ............. the first melody "Twinkle my little star!" every body just clap , because they don't want to make us sad & hope less!!!!!!!!!!

in each class the teacher never tells us "it was good". we play & he said " practice more! if you countinue this way you coudn't be a violinist!"  And it make us sad. oh................

1 year .... 2years ,3 yaers, 4years , 5 years......... yes now our teacher invite us to go to a small orchestra & play there! we couldn't blieve it! "Is it real?"

yes ofter 6 years $ if we play it 3hours a day and be serious!

nw you answer: Is it difficult?
