Does anyone know a site where I can find the sheetmusic for Myaskovsky, Weinberg, Strauss, and Schumann violin concertos? They may be out of print through major publishers. Any advice
The Schumann was published by Schott and I think it is still in print.
You might get the Weinberg from here:
http://www.peermusic-classical.de
If it's not published yet it may be on their list for future release. If you send them an email they will let you know.
For the Miaskovsky and Weinberg contact the Schirmer rental dept to see if they have the Violin solo/piano reduction with the orchestra parts or if it has been published and they will sell the reduction.

As far as Myaskovsky goes Clinton,
Something doesn´t add up. The 1st movement alone is about 20 minutes, and the 2nd and 3rd are each 9-10 minutes (unless they discount the cadenza section of the 1st movement from that time...which would be odd since that cadenza was from the composer himself and is by itself the major structural B unit of a massive ternary form.)...so something is odd from the Schirmer editions. Good lead though.
Marc, you said you own a copy of Myaskovsky concerto. I'll be playing it next semester, so could you please send me a copy? I'm sorry, for some reason I couldn't contact your through PM...

May 18, 2008 at 08:36 PM · I own a copy of Myaskovsky Concerto (violin and piano reduction). It is a very rare thing-there were only 2000 copies made in the original Soviet edition---odds are against your finding it online or anywhere for that matter [believe me it took 3 weeks of digging to find it]--the Cornell music library has a virgin copy in their library (that is where I made my copy from)-they´d probably do an Illiad request for it if you´re attached to a Uni.
PM me, and if you want I can scan a PDF of it.
