Whatever happened to Uto Ughi?
Grumiaux a bad person...?
Where does that come from...?
(Looking back at some of the old v.com threads, maybe I don't want to ask!)
Well, if he is a tough personality to deal with that is certainly a possible career killer. Pity though--he does play beautifully.
SOMEone must have been there, in order to observe that no one was there...
;-)
Hi,
Just out of curiosity - how is Arthur Grumiaux a bad person?!?! From all accounts that I have heard from people that knew, it is quite the opposite - that he was very nice, and also shy.
Two things:
1. It's not considered polite to badmouth the dead.
2. Whatever someone might think about Uto Ughi (I don't know him personally) who is a living perfomer (and hence our colleague!) it's not polite to badmouth him in public. Just remember that all what is written in this forum can be googled by anyone all over the world. Therefore it might also be considered defamation, legally.
I think we should focus on what we think of people's playing.
Cheers
Kristian
By the way,
in order to not offend anyone in this POLITE!!! forum I removed all my messages!!
As for me if one doesn't behave well I don't mind if he is a God of Violin or not....I just don't care about him anymore!!
The respect for persons comes first of all!!!
