Mrs. Crespo-Almond holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Arkansas, where she studied under Maestro Rico McNeela.
Guided by the Suzuki lineage, she has pursued extensive teacher training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, studying with certified teacher trainers throughout her career.
After completing multiple levels of certification, her most significant post-graduate work was undertaken with Ronda Cole at the University of Maryland, where she audited and taught within a two-year master’s program in Suzuki pedagogy.
She has also benefited from the mentorship and generosity of other teacher trainers, particularly Martha Shackford.
In addition to teaching, Vivian performs regularly in the Washington, D.C. area in a variety of chamber ensembles, including the Amore Trio, and with the Potomac Symphony Orchestra.
