I’m a Tokyo-based Jazz violinist — at least spiritually. In reality, film and game scoring is what pays for my groceries — even though I don’t actually play games, I often find it difficult to truly express myself through commercial scoring.

I graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts. I started on the piano when I was a child, but sadly, I didn’t really take a strong liking to playing it. When I first encountered and began studying the double bass and violin through jazz as an adult, I immediately fell for the rich, voice-like tones of string instruments.

I majored in composition, I developed a strong interest in Straight-ahead jazz starting from middle school. I’m hoping to learn more about violin here.
