Walnut Hill String Quartet IntensiveIn-Person - The Walnut Hill String Quartet Intensive (June 21 - 27 Boarding or June 22 - 26 Day) provides intermediate and advanced young string players Ages 11 - 28 an exceptional week of coachings, master classes, and a private lesson with inspiring faculty. At Walnut Hill School for the Arts outside of Boston.

ARIA International Summer AcademyIn-Person - Intensive boot camp for intermediate and advanced violinists aged 16-28. Session 1: June 18-July 3, 2026. Session 2: July 5-20, 2026. Participants receive 8 private lessons per session, daily masterclasses, and a Talk to the Pros forum in each session. South Hadley, MA.

Mike Block String CampIn-Person - Taking place from July 6-11, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida, Mike Block String Camp is an annual summer workshop for string players of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on non-classical traditions and contemporary musical styles, with emphasis on learning by ear, creativity, collaboration, and performance.

Fulton Summer Music AcademyIn-Person - FSMA is for classical string/piano players and conductors ages 12-30 seeking a focused experience. Lessons, chamber music, orchestra, journaling, and more. Low ratio of students to our world-class faculty. Tuition assistance for all, and full scholarships available. From June 28 - July 24 located just west of Chicago.

Summer String FestivalIn-Person - The Elisabeth Morrow School Summer String Festival (Aug. 10–14) is a program for experienced violinists, violists, and cellists, ages 4–14, who love music. The week-long session takes place on our beautiful campus in Englewood, N.J., and culminates with the Gala Concert showcasing all four orchestras on Friday, Aug. 14.

Idyllwild ArtsIn-Person - This comprehensive summer experience for intermediate and advanced musicians ages 13-17 allows students to immerse themselves in all facets of music making: Chamber Music, Chamber Orchestra, Collaborative Work, and Solo Performance. Students also participate in private lessons and masterclasses, as well as attend special performances by our professional faculty. An audition is required.

ETSU Chamber Music FestivalIn-Person - Held on the campus of East Tennessee State University June 24-29, we welcome students ages 11-25, from those just beginning to play chamber music (as early as Suzuki Book 4 level) to Conservatory-level students, who will be matched by age and level. Competitive scholarships, excellent student housing on campus, and a thriving family-friendly atmosphere.

Altschuler Summer Music InstituteIn-Person - ASMI, July 13–26 in Premilcuore, Italy, welcomes students of all ages and levels for private lessons, chamber music, and orchestra. Participants study with world-renowned faculty from Juilliard, NEC, RCM, Mozarteum Salzburg, artists linked to Jascha Heifetz and Nathan Milstein, and leading conservatories across Europe.

The Thomas & Evon International Cooper CompetitionIn-Person - The Thomas and Evon Cooper International Competition brings some of the world’s most talented young musicians to the campus of Oberlin College and Conservatory every summer. Alternating years feature a competition for violinists and a competition for pianists.

IMA Chamber Music WorkshopIn-Person - Learn the art of chamber music performance with daily coaching from world-renowned faculty who are Curtis and Juilliard graduates. Ages 10-22. Dedicated adult player division for ages 21 and above. Practice techniques, sight-reading, Yoga with Joe and performances. Located in Corvallis, OR. Residence option available for ages 12 and up. Cost: $550 for commuters; $1,125 with housing.

Los Angeles Suzuki InstituteIn-Person - The Los Angeles Suzuki Institute offers group string instruction for students ages 4–18, beginner through advanced levels. Programs run June 15-19, 2026 in Claremont, CA, emphasizing the Suzuki method, ensemble playing, technique, and musical growth through a nurturing, community-centered environment.

Benefic Chamber Music CampIn-Person - Benefic Chamber Music Camp, July 18–26, 2026. Intensive chamber music training for advanced string, wind, and piano students ages 12–21 at Ball State University School of Music. Students perform in two ensembles, the chamber orchestra, and receive focused coaching, recording sessions, and private lessons. Concerto Competition and Student Gala Concert.

Mark Wood Rock Orchestra CampIn-Person - Founded by Mark Wood, Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s original string master, MWROC takes place from July 12-18 in Olathe, KS and is a performance-based experience where attendees explore their own unique creativity. Courses include improvisation, composing, arranging, singing, movement, and more; accelerating skills while building lifelong friendships. Open to acoustic and electric string players and singers, ages 12 through adult.

Shkolnikova AcademyIn-Person - A breathtaking summer music intensive retreat in France where talented young musicians train with world-class faculty through lessons, chamber music, and performances, set in the magical Château de la Flocellière, blending artistic excellence, inspiration, and the living legacy of Nelli Shkolnikova.

Mason String IntensiveIn-Person - Ages: Rising grades 8–12
Dates: July 20–24, 2026 - 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Location: George Mason University in Fairfax, VA
The Mason String Intensive is designed for intermediate and advanced violin, viola, and cello players to help develop the skills needed to become dynamic soloists and chamber musicians.

Mason String CampIn-Person - Ages: 10–18
Dates: July 27–31, 2026 - 9 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
Location: George Mason University in Fairfax, VA
The Mason String Camp is a week-long orchestra program for high school and middle school violin, viola, cello, and bass players.

Colorado Chamber Music InstituteIn-Person - Colorado Chamber Music Institute is designed for advanced teenage violin, viola, cello, flute and guitar students who are interested in expanding their chamber music training. From June 19-27, 2026, students will have the opportunity to work with members of the Lux Quartet in the picturesque setting of Beaver Creek, Colorado!

String Crossings CampIn-Person - Belmont University’s annual week-long summer camp for high school string students. Learn and perform music from diverse genres including classical, jazz, rock, celtic, swing, and bluegrass. Study with Belmont's world-renowned faculty, explore creative musicianship and technique in all styles, participate in interactive performances, and immerse yourself in an exciting week of making music with new friends!
