Handel: Nine German Arias
Zenith Ensemble
Marika Holmqvist, baroque violin
Nacole Palmer, soprano
Rebecca Humphrey, baroque cello
Barbara Weiss, harpsichord
This album showcases some of Handel’s most beautiful and personal vocal works, inviting listeners to explore profound themes of life, nature, and the divine. The "Nine German Arias" highlight Handel’s musical settings of texts by the early 18th c. German poet Barthold Heinrich Brockes. "This album is a celebration of Handel’s artistry and the emotional depth of his music,” said Nacole Palmer, Artistic Director of the Zenith Ensemble. “300 years later they are as relevant as ever. We aim to bring these remarkable pieces to a wider audience, showcasing their timeless beauty." BELOW: Handel's "Singe Seele, Gott Zum Preise" HWV 206
