Larsen Strings announced the launch of "Larsen Strings North America" while representatives from the Danish company were in the U.S. for this year’s Violin Society of America (VSA) Conference in Indianapolis.
INDIANAPOLIS - On ThursdayThe new designation marks a new chapter in Larsen's collaboration with Glasser NY, the bow-making and string accessories company that has been the exclusive U.S. distributor of Larsen Strings for more than 25 years.
Larsen Strings North America will serve as the exclusive source for Larsen’s orchestral strings in the U.S.
"This launch is a natural next step in our partnership," said Ole Wichmann, Vice President for Sales & Marketing from Larsen Strings. "It’s about ensuring that American musicians continue to have access to strings that inspire their artistry and elevate their performance."
Andrew Glasser, owner of Glasser NY, said that "we are excited to deepen our relationship with Larsen Strings, combining our shared commitment to quality and innovation to serve musicians even better under the Larsen Strings North America name."
Larsen Strings was founded in 1990 in Sønderborg, Denmark by Laurits Th. Larsen. Beyond its Original Larsen Strings for violin, viola and cello, the company also offers Virtuoso, Tzigane, Il Cannone and Aurora strings for violin; Aurora and Virtuoso for viola; and Il Cannone, Aurora, Magnacore and Arioso for cello.
