The Juilliard School on Friday, according to multiple sources.
Violinist Li Lin was fired from his position as a faculty Violin Professor atThe sudden dismissal came after "an independent investigation into reported misconduct determined he violated the School’s policies and standards," according to The Violin Channel.
Lin had been teaching some 35 pre-college and college students at Juilliard.
A native of Guangzhou, China, Lin had been on the violin faculty at The Juilliard School since 2014, and also taught at the Perlman Music Program and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Lin earned his bachelor's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and his masters degree from Eastman School of Music. He also taught a master class at the 2023 Juilliard Symposium on Violin Studies. Lin's biography has been removed from Juilliard's website.
