In an effort to promote the coverage of live violin performance, Violinist.com each week presents links to reviews of notable concerts and recitals around the world.

Violinist Ilya Gringolts.
Ilya Gringolts performed Prokofiev’s First Violin Concerto with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
- Arts Hub: "To see him playing live on stage was to marvel at his immense technical prowess and his incredible empathy with the music he plays."
- Limelight: "Violinist Ilya Gringolts gives a magical performance, relaxed but insightful, and his tone is exquisite. His encore is one of Pietro Antonio Locatelli’s lovely caprices for solo violin."
Leonidas Kavakos performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at its Symphony Ball season kickoff concert.
- Hyde Park Herald: "Kavakos performed with shining virtuosity, delivering rapid passages with ease, and he devoted himself to details with grace and charm. "
Carolin Widmann performed Jörg Widmann's Violin Concerto No. 2 with the Berlin Philharmonic at Musikfest Berlin.
- La Scena Musicale: "She mastered its fiendish demands for extended technique which included percussive batting of the strings, unpitched straight tone and exaggerated glissandi. The Widman siblings reveled in the work’s eclecticism, offering Romantic, czardas-twinged melodies and a comic, frenzied finale with prominent xylophone. "
