Rachel Barton Pine performed Billy Childs' Violin Concerto No. 2 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl.

Benjamin Beilman performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
- Limelight: "Beilman’s rendition of the Sibelius Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47 was remarkable in its accuracy and concentration, especially so in his quiet playing."
Pinchas Zukerman performed and directed Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
- Limelight: "It is in the Larghetto second movement where the soloist can hypnotise the audience, and Zukerman’s playing here was utterly sublime. "
Blake Pouliot performed "Dawn" from Ysaÿe’s Sonata in G major for Solo Violin, Op. 27, no. 5 at SummerFest’s "Journey Into Light" concert in La Jolla, Calif.
- San Diego Union-Tribune: "From the dark stage, the softly bowed low open strings of a violin quietly emerged. Double stops slowly ascended, outlining a G major harmony. The lights slowly came up on Blake Pouliot, strikingly playing the 'Dawn' movement of Ysaÿe’s Sonata in G major for Solo Violin, Op. 27, no. 5."
Music@Menlo Chamber Music Festival featured performances by four different quintet groups over the last week.
- San Francisco Classical Voice: "it was definitely piano quintet week at Menlo..."
Rupert Guenther performed "New Letters to Esterhazy" in Canberra.
- CBR City News: "Completely improvised, this performance, while sticking to the premise, was unique for the audience, as it was all being invented on the spot as he played his violin."
