Inmo Yang performed in recital with pianist Sahun Sam Hong at New England Conservatory's Williams Hall.
- Boston Musical Intelligencer: "The two well-matched and totally simpatico long-time partners mastered (Sibelius') Mazurka (from Five Pieces for Violin and Piano, Op 81), the most demanding technically, with much double stopping and other virtuoso effects for both instruments."
Ray Chen performed the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
- Limelight: "This was playing with smooth elan, faultless intonation and deft bow work and also with a generous vibrato – perhaps a little too much at times – nicely balanced by New’s assured control of the orchestra."
Nicola Benedetti performed Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
- The Scotsman: "Bruch’s ever popular G minor Violin Concerto was heard in both exquisite tenderness and reflective grittiness, its pleading lines taking on an impending sense of urgency from both soloist and orchestra."
Itzhak Perlman performed Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood.
- The Berkshire Eagle: "..the audience offered its respect for a lifetime of achievement."
