Hello Again! Becca here from Violin by Becca. So recently I've had a few of my new students ask me about purchasing or renting a new violin. I know sometimes having the courage to start a new instrument or committing time to a new talent can be a HUGE DEAL just by itself. But now you have to find a decent violin teacher, figure out where to purchase your violin and how much to spend? Well those are some great questions and I have 3 ideas to consider when buying a violin for a new musician.
1. Should You Rent or Buy a Violin?
2. Should You Buy a Violin Online?
3. How Much Should You Spend for a "Good" Violin?
As you can guess the answer to each of those depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Typically I recommend spending a little extra money and purchasing a great instrument from somewhere you can trust. If you want a little more explanation check out my violin blog.
