Just a thought; I’ve been seeing so many ads for an amazing variety of shoulder rests. Everyone keeps trying the newest and greatest with limited success.
There are so many because none of them address the fundamental issue of simply learning how to hold the violin. It’s not “natural” or easy but avoiding the fundamental issues of posture and coordinating left hand support just pushes the issue further down the road always in search of the “ideal “ shoulder rest.
