Charles J. Rufino has been immersed in the world of the violin since 1974. After studies at the Newark School of Violin Making, including a short stint at the W.E. Hill & Sons Hanwell shop, he continued studies in Manhattan with V.Y. "Nigo" Nigogosian and later in Chicago as Carl Becker's assistant.
Since 1983 he has operated his own shop in New York and makes violins, violas, and cellos which have been used in performances by professional soloists, orchetral players, and chamber musicians.
