Tailpiece for a 7/8 violin

November 26, 2017, 4:04 PM · Can anyone tell me whether I should get a full-size tailpiece for my 7/8 violin, or if I should get a 3/4 size? My violin back is 352mm.

If the tailpiece you have fits the violin and it's not touching the saddle, and has room for the proper afterlength (usually 1/6 of the vibrating strings length), the size shouldn't matter much unless you're trying to fine-tune some specific quirk the violin might have that a different tailpiece could help.
