The Man with the Violin. Stephane Grappelli live with the Diz Dizley Trio, 9/26/76

Edited: October 2, 2022, 10:47 PM · Seeing some of the competition clips from Indianapolis made me realize that many younger people weren't even born yet when Stephane Grappelli was alive.
For anyone who appreciated Grappelli, or might be interested in his music, I have discovered this recently released, high quality, live recording from the Great American music Hall in San Francisco in 1976.

The band was pretty hot that night.  Grappelli was 68 years old and IMHO, was playing at his peak during that decade of his life. There are some tunes he never recorded before and it ranks as one of his best live recordings. It's an excellent representation of his unique, hot, improvisational playing.

Released on David Grisman's label.
