Just think how much juicy scale practice you can do over the next few days…
December 24, 2021, 9:55 PM · Ahhh ... the holiday vacation. I played the viola part of the Beethoven Op. 3 string trio today with my two daughters. It was a bit of a mess but great fun. We are meeting up with their cousins in a few days to have a go at the Schubert D956 cello quintet and possibly some of Beethoven Op. 18! We brought along a piano book of Christmas tunes and we read through those with two violins and cello -- I just create an "inside part" from the notes that are on the page or improvise whatever seems appropriate.
