Performance opportunity!

May 23, 2021, 3:54 PM · Sounds crazy, no?

There is a cool project being done by a cool conductor living in M√ľnster, Germany in which musicians from around the world record excerpts of a piece (Brahms Requiem this time), and it is then combined in an installation of many, many speakers, which each play a single voice/instrument. "Concertgoers" in masks and with social distance can walk around the room, experiencing the performance in a new, unique way.

Anyone is welcome to check it out! Both profis and especially students are very encouraged to take part. (Teachers out there, feel free to spread the word.)

May 24, 2021, 9:43 PM · This looks really interesting, and I played the Brahms requiem in one of my last concerts before the pandemic (late 2019) so I'd have no trouble with the part. But unfortunately I don't know that I can commit to 6:00 am Zoom meetings in my time zone...
