Thomastik Rondo VIOLA Strings

March 30, 2021, 12:17 PM · Thomastik has come out with the Thomastik Rondo set for viola. Has anyone tried them? I know the violin version of these strings is popular (I use them myself) and I was wondering if they would ever release a viola set.

I'd mostly be interested in seeing what people think of them compared to some other standard viola sets like Obligato and Vision Solo.

Edited: March 31, 2021, 2:01 AM · I heard the viola Rondo set was coming out when I spoke to my supplier about a month ago. We haven’t tried them in the shop yet, but I’m eager to see if they work as well as the other Rondo sets.

I recommend that you check out Ronald Houston's review on YouTube. Also, his YouTube videos on performing several well know viola pieces are very practical. They focus on using technique to achieve musical ends.
