Markov Resonant Shoulder Rest

Has anyone had any experience with this Albert Markov developed shoulder rest?
I'm also trying to find out where it is made. I have only found a couple videos on it. There also appears to be a few testimonies on the website. Thank you in advance for any information you may have.

February 21, 2021, 12:28 PM · If the Markov shoulder rest does indeed enhance resonance it may be based on the similar design of the PERFORMA shoulder rest (SHAR sells it) one version of which is also made of wood* and exposes a large wooden surface to the back of the violin from which both designs may (slightly) increase projection of certain sounds to listeners and to the player.

I am not familiar with the Markov SR.

*I have both the wood and carbon fiber versions of the PERFORMA and violins sound the same with both versions, however the carbon fiber model is about 1 ounce heavier.

February 21, 2021, 3:17 PM · Not similar at all though Andrew. The Markov is a new design combining some rarely seen ideas. It doesn't look terribly comfortable so yes it would be very interesting to hear some reviews.

February 21, 2021, 7:26 PM · Looks like a simple flat piece of wood with rubber stand-offs and elastic bands. Doesn't look as though it would provide much comfort or stability. I do respect Mr. Markov as a musician. But the product design and price point do not appeal to me whatsoever.
