Other arrangements of Last Rose of Summer?
Does anyone know of an arrangement of Last Rose of Summer that is merely advanced-student level, rather than literally-the-most-difficult-piece-in-the-repertoire level?
It's a lovely tune and if there was a version of it that was sort of Bruch-level difficult, that would be amazing... does such a thing exist?
Here's an easy one:
I feel this piece is ripe for improvisation.
I believe Leopold Auer wrote an arrangement for violin and piano. Mischa Elman recorded it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQj-oy82Wds
vieuxtemps wrote one- its the 5th movement of his 'bouquet americains'series. Just search 'vieuxtemps last rose of summer imslp" and it will come up. It seems to be solid intermediate skill level. the last rose of summer really was all the rage in the 19th century, mendelssohn, ernst, and even beethoven used it.
