December 25, 2020, 3:22 PM · Yet more rosin to add to my collection. Tempting...
Edited: December 25, 2020, 6:00 PM · Stephen - you beat me to it by just "that much" ( |<->| ).

Actually not a bad deal for the smaller size ones.
I already have 6 grades of the Leatherwood size for violin, viola and cello from their previous 50% sale a few years ago.

December 25, 2020, 5:07 PM · Good stuff, but every time I switch away, I find other things to admire in the replacement.
December 25, 2020, 7:43 PM · That's really expensive rosin!!!
Edited: December 25, 2020, 11:18 PM · It is good stuff that I have used at home for several years.
(Replacement cost was too expensive to keep in a case and use over hard floors. But this half-price sale could make a difference.)

But more recently (the past 2 months) I have tried

Cecilia Signature Formula
and
Pirastro OLIV-EVAH

and they are both great too.

Edited: December 25, 2020, 9:13 PM · I think the smaller ones are aimed at double basses? Too bad, as they look to be a more convenient format. The violin ones, while the wood case is fine, are really annoying to keep in their leather cover.

Catherine, don't forget that the quoted prices are Australian dollars unless you toggle around on the upper right of the screen.

Edited: December 25, 2020, 9:30 PM · I looked at it on my phone, didn't catch it was Australian dollars, thanks.

I'm waiting for a free sample of Cecilia Signature Formula to arrive from The House of Rosin (love that name) as a "welcome gift" - it will be interesting to see if I can actually tell a difference with my Melos dark rosin. Nice that I get to try it before pulling the trigger on yet another cake of rosin...

December 25, 2020, 9:44 PM · The Cecilia is very good, and may be all you need. Have fun!
