November 1, 2020, 6:30 PM · Thank you. As you are a craftsperson of very fine instruments, I wonder how you feel about computer simulations. Without Finale/Garritan on my computer, it would be impossible for people to hear my composition. The simulation plays it in tune and at speed, but obviously does not have the soul of a real musician. I can only hope that musicians feel it's worthy of performing IRL (in real life).
November 2, 2020, 2:16 PM · Regarding simulations, if it helps you "visualize" how your piece will sound with real instruments, then use it. Obviously I'd rather hear two actual violists perform this.

I think it would also make a great piece as a cello duet.
