Son filé ad nauseam!

Edited: March 15, 2020, 12:19 PM · Casorti Op 50 (see link below) no 21 suggests 1 minute per measure.
I suspect he means 1 minute per bow stroke; not 1 minute per bar, which would result in 8 minutes per bow stroke, lol. Or perhaps you disagree? (if you do, I think I'll take up the drums instead, lol)

Yes, if you go back to #19, I think I'm right: -

March 16, 2020, 2:35 PM · LOL - yeah, 8 minutes per bow would be pretty insane.... although I remember Josef Gingold suggested aiming to achieve 5 min. per bow. :o
Edited: March 16, 2020, 3:01 PM · I like the way he says it should be expressionless (in #19).
He also suggests 30 seconds per bow for fuller tone.
I'll settle for expression and full tone.
My teacher feeds me, and I bring dessert. I'll threaten to stop bringing dessert if she makes me try longer than a minute, lol.
Hmmm, then she might stop feeding me. Help, I'm locked in a blackmail scenario!
