Violin pieces

December 24, 2019, 10:22 AM · Hey everyone!

So I am currently learning Saint Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso and was wondering, what piece should I learn afterwards? I have played other pieces such as Paganini Caprice 24 and Weiniawski’s Scherzo Tarantelle. Any suggestions? Thank you.

P.S. my goal(dream piece) is Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto. I’m currently a sophomore in high school. So is Tchaikovsky doable before I graduate?

For another salon piece how about Tchaikovsky's Melancholic Serenade or Waltz-Scherzo?

OP, if you can play a great Paganini 24, you probably can play the Tchaikovsky now. You should ask your teacher about it explicitly.
