Cello/Piano Repertoire Suggestion?

December 21, 2019, 2:36 PM · I know this is violinist.com, not cellist.com, but there are a lot of multi-instrumentalists on this site, and I'm hoping for a repertoire suggestion.

I'm searching for something to play with my 11-year-old cellist son. To give you an idea of his level, he's in Suzuki book 4, but he's played several pieces outside the Suzuki repertoire, is a good reader, and has played in chamber ensembles and youth orchestra.

I'm working on a Schubert Sonatina to play with his violinist older brother, and I'd like to find something of similar difficulty to play with my cellist. I'm interested in something more like a duet rather than cello solo with piano accompaniment.

In Suzuki 4, he's fortunate to have a regular and supportive accompanist. I'd continue like that with what his teacher recommends for another couple of years.
