Practicing/Recording in smaller excerpts

September 15, 2019, 5:22 PM · I've been playing through the Dvorak Cello Concerto recently, and I've taken little sections (depending on the difficulty) and recorded them. I think this is a useful way to practice or even learn a piece, and thought that some readers might find this to be a useful method. What tips and tricks can you share that make you a better musician?

I like to listen to myself and write my complaints in my practise log so I can't not see them and feel guilty the next time I practise.
