Old Issues of The Strad

September 10, 2019, 4:53 PM · Hello,

I'm looking for a copy of the January 1997 issue of The Strad and was wondering if anyone on this forum has access to this particular issue. I contacted the magazine itself and they were not able to help. I've also done countless searches on eBay, Amazon, etc. but to no avail. If anybody could help with this, it would be much appreciated!

Might be worth investigating in that area. If it's not in your National Library then it will surely be in another National Library (British Library, Library of Congress, etc ) and a digital copy may be available through an inter-library scheme.

September 11, 2019, 1:05 PM · Hi Mattias,

There is a violin in this issue that I am very interested in and would like to have the hard copy of the magazine. Is there any way I can purchase this issue from you?

But if it is just 1 article, I suppose it would be ok to take a picture for you of it until you find a hard copy of you own.

Which article is it?

September 12, 2019, 12:23 PM · Thanks Mattias. I understand why you would not want to miss a number in your collection.
I have a scanned copy of the article but would really like a hard copy of the magazine. If anyone else sees this and is able to help, it would be much appreciated!
