ATCL Recital Programme for comment

September 9, 2019, 5:57 AM · I am starting to prepare for my ATCL recital early next year
My teacher suggested that I should choose pieces of greater variety

I came up with the followings:

1) Bach violin concerto no. 2 in E major (around 18 mins)
2) Dvorak Romance Op. 11 (around 11 mins)
3) Wieniawski Legende (7 mins)

Also is it possible to skip parts of the tutti in Dvorak? This will spare a minute or so

September 9, 2019, 6:43 AM · That fits time restraints and contrast of style in pieces that are on the accepted list. Don’t skip tutti in non audition scenarios it’s only cut in masterclass and audition because there is only focus on the violin playing but in a performance a piece should be presented as the composer wrote it with some exceptions
