Finger vibrato

August 6, 2019, 6:25 AM · Hi everyone,
I have pretty good vibrato, but lately I've experimented to try to vibrate narrower but more frequently. My vibrato right now is a bit too wide for "subdued vibrato" for, say, less important notes that I don't want to emphasize but still wanted to vibrate on.
I tried some variation of finger vibrato, but in order to do that my hand has to twist weirdly and it sounds quite flimsy.
I don't think that I should go to my teacher for this, as her vibrato is scarily even wider than mine (don't get me wrong -- she's a good teacher) and she thinks my vibrato is nice.
Wonder if any of you know some basic tips and steps to incorporate finger vibrato into my wrist/arm one?

Thanks very much,
Jamie
