June 18, 2019, 12:02 AM · I decided to go to the University of North Texas. I went partially for a teacher that was there. His name is Philip Lewis and he studied at Peabody Conservatory with Berl Senofsky who studied with one of the most influential violin pedegouges Ivan Galamian. Berl was also the first American to win the Queen Elizabeth Competition. And Berl studied with one of the most influential violin pedegouges Ivan Galamian. In addition to the teacher though, I also went there for the school. It's an amazing atmosphere to be around. When I went there for my audition it just felt like home and somewhere I knew I wanted to be. And now I'm about to enter my junior year and couldn't be happier.
