Ysaye Violin Sonatas
Which is your favorite? Any recordings you'd recommend?
I'm getting my feet wet with Sonata No. 2. "Obsession", Sonata 3 I like as well, they are the most accessible IMO
Number 6 played by Yuval Yaron is the closest thing to the devil playing the violin that I've ever heard. The whole disc is incredible.
Go listen to Philip Graffin recording the posthumous op 27 sonata that was discovered its full of wonderful ysaye energy and is my favorite along with no 3,4. His recording is called fiddlers blues it’s fantastic
I have Ricci's: great, of course!
Ilya Kaler does it for me.
