Bach g minor Fugue help

October 13, 2018, 4:11 PM · So many ways to play measures 35-41 Bach Fugue from Sonata in g.

What do you prefer/suggest?

I think I might go with full chords for each eighth notes slurring D/A strings to A/E strings for the first 2.5 measures and then slurring top down (A/E to D strong alone) for m.38-41

I like the full chord followed by single notes whenever it’s just two half notes followed by single eighth note rhythm (that’s how Pearlman has it in one of his recordings but it seems a bit too empty there.
