Appraisal in Chicago

Got a friend in Chicago who was given an old German violin. Can you suggest a reliable shop in Chicago to appraise - and restore as needed?

October 4, 2018, 7:34 AM · Carl Becker and Son, Paul Becker is really nice and knows his stuff. They are the oldest violin shop in the country going back 5 generations. Give them a call!

October 4, 2018, 2:10 PM · I would suggest Seman Violins, which is just north of the city. https://www.semanviolins.com/ Run and staffed pretty much entirely by makers. They are great at what they do.
