Pieces Around Difficulty of the Korngold Violin Concerto?

Edited: August 12, 2018, 11:38 AM · Hi all,

I was just wondering: what pieces can you, personally, think of that are around the technical/musical difficulty of the Korngold Violin Concerto in D Major? I am sure there are many--just wondering on the thoughts!

He said ‘it requires the violinist to have the technique of a Paganini and the ability to sing on the instrument like a Caruso. With Heifetz, Korngold got both!’
