Is the screw of this bow warped?

Most likely, either the front hole and nipple hole aren't drilled perfectly inline or the screw isn't seated in the button square. It's not necessarily a cause for concern. The only way to tell if it is any issue at all is to tighten the bow yourself.

But note the bow is at about $2 with about $25 shipping (what is that about?). Not all "pernambuco" is equal, not by a long shot! And even with great wood, the bow needs to be tailored to the wood, not tailored to the dimensions of some specific other bow. Might be worth taking a chance as long as one is not expecting too much.

I bought my last and best viola bow from ebay on the chance it might be OK, cost me less than $400, making it my cheapest viola bow. Of course I do not believe the "C. BAZIN" stamp on it.
