New fugue for string quartet : "Fugue for Four Fine Friends" (FfFFF)

August 9, 2018, 1:31 PM · Ok, it's not LvB Op59#3 but our amateur quartet had fun reading it. (The computer plays it better, though.) And it's not strictly a proper fugue according to the Oxford Dictionary of Music, but it is fugue-ish.

See/hear the scrolling score at : https://youtu.be/qcLcmj5RH8I

You can print the score (free) at raulkottler.com. Let me know if you want the individual parts (free)

A previous post asked if amateurs should play late Beethoven. Of course! As long as they don't subject others to the result. We love the challenge and the brain exercise.

PS: Not be confused with "fugu for four" on the sushi menu.
