Kreutzer Studies

July 11, 2018, 3:22 AM · Hello everyone,

Could someone briefly outline what technique each Kreuzter etude focuses on?
I would like a list something like this: (but with each etude)
No 10= Arpeggios/String crossings
No 12= Arpeggios
No 24= Octaves
No 33= 3rds
No 42= Fugue

Thanks in advance,

K

July 11, 2018, 5:56 AM · Maybe the "Violin etude thesaurus" at violinwiki.org is useful to you:
https://www.violinwiki.org/wiki/40_Studies_or_Caprices_for_the_Violin_(Kreutzer,_Rodolphe)

There is an extra page for every Kreutzer where, among other things, the skills addressed are listed.

For example, No. 12 (https://www.violinwiki.org/wiki/40_Studies_or_Caprices_for_the_Violin,_No._12_Allegro_moderato_(Kreutzer,_Rodolphe)) lists "broken chords, natural harmonics, second position, fourth position, fifth position, sixth position, seventh position, shifting"
