Does anyone know the editor T. Yampolsky?

January 4, 2018, 5:47 AM · Hi,

I have come across a few editions by T. Yampolsky. Does anyone know any information on this editor? Or is the T maybe a mistranslation form Russian?

To the orchestra:
"You sound like sour pickle."
"You sound like pit (pronounced PEEET) orchestra."

Abram Yampolsky was a major russian violin teacher.
I don't know about a T. Yampolsky.
There is a very good book on violin fingering by a Yampolsky.
Are they all related?

Yampolsky/Yampolsliy/Yampolskaya is very common surname in Russia and Ukraine among Jude people. I had two Yampolsky classmates who were not relatives (at least to known generations).
