September 4, 2006 at 04:52 AM · An orchestra would like to program the Vieuxtemps, Henri, 1820-1881,

"Duo brilliant" pour violon et violoncelle (ou alto) avec accompagnement d’orchestre

ou de piano ... Op. 39. Publisher/year Paris, etc : Schott Freres, [1864?].

The 56 databases that I searched do not list any orchestra parts in print. The publisher of the Violin, Cello and Piano edition, Edition Kunzelmann, does not publish the orchestra material nor does Schott have this in their rental library.

Please send me an off-list message if you have this Full score and parts.

That's because I only wanted to say that if the great Clinton Nieweg can't find it, I'd imagine that nobody can!

Clinto Nieweg has given me some great advice in the recent past, and for that I'd like to thank him publicly.

September 5, 2006 at 02:16 AM · Clint, I'll chat with the violinist this week...he may just orchestrate this himself...the accompaniment is pretty simple and there is a recording in existence that I have sent him. I'll keep you posted!

September 5, 2006 at 02:19 AM · lol kevin I know, I have heard of this piece before and I searched everywhere I could think of and it seems to be no where to be found. Clint, good luck on your search!
