Your music collection...

July 21, 2006 at 04:41 AM · Did any of you music majors bring your entire music collection to college?

I'm not sure if I have to do that, or if I can use stuff from the Conservatory library, but... yea I really don't want to lug a boxful of music to college...

July 21, 2006 at 05:04 AM · Actually, I have been wondering the same thing myself. So far I have decided to bring a portion of my library, but not all of it.

July 21, 2006 at 06:23 AM · Yeah, I brought two smallish boxes of music to college... probably not the greatest idea, but at least I have everything with me :-) and I can just take a peek at any random piece.

July 21, 2006 at 08:15 AM · yea... why wouldn't you.

July 21, 2006 at 03:58 PM · I did, it's really not that bad. The shipping isn't that expensive, it's something worth looking into.

July 21, 2006 at 04:26 PM · Pieter, I just don't want to bring all my stuff if I can use stuff from the Con library. I already have like a ton of stuff I have to ship over there aaahh stress :(

July 21, 2006 at 06:07 PM · I took many many boxes

July 21, 2006 at 06:23 PM · I didn't have that much to begin with. Plus, we have a sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet music library. It's one of my favorite places to be. I probably owe them a lot of money for late fees, though.

July 21, 2006 at 07:47 PM · Okay, I give in. I'm taking it with me.

July 21, 2006 at 07:52 PM · have you ever tried going to a library? You have to be quiet, the librarians all have that same strange brand of glasses, everyone talks in this cult-like whisper... and finding things is just tedious and boring. Just buy the bloody thing and get it over with... I never go scratching through that library.

July 21, 2006 at 08:51 PM · Well you see, our library has a 24-hour disco and an open bar. I can't keep myself away.

July 22, 2006 at 02:19 AM · My library of violin music is typically better than most university libraries :-)~

July 22, 2006 at 03:07 AM · Bring the music you haven't learned.

Check your university library catalog to see what you can/can't borrow and what is in your current collection.

July 22, 2006 at 03:12 PM · You can't really "mark up" library material.....
