I'm not sure who wrote this.... but the story of Samuel brought it to mind:
"Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul."
The violin is such a technical instrument and requires such exactness of technical considerations in order to even approach the question of what is musical, that we sometimes forget that the voice of the violin playing great music is a doorway to the soul--a doorway like no other.
