I've always wondered on how artists collect fees for a concerto, and fees for a recital, since they are kind of different. The latter usually involves more playing, and doesn't necessarily draw the same size of audience.
Do regularly touring artists like Perlman, Hillary Hahn, Vengerov or Joshua Bell collect the same fee for a concerto and recitals?
