Help! Looking for violin summer camp in August for a 40 year old beginner! Google and yahoo searches have not turned up anything useful.
Another possiblity would be a homestay program--if such a thing exists--live with a teacher and get some private lessons. Anyone know of a website or way to find something like this? Would probably want to be in California, but could travel if it was worthwhile.
Another possibilty is a swap--any violin teacher want to learn French for a week or two in Aug?
Appreciate any ideas on finding a nice holiday which would include lessons for a passionate (yet quite untalented) beginner!

With apologies to everyone else for posting this link for the gazillionth time, this is an excellent resource for music workshops & camps:

Consider Summerkeys--wonderful musicians who will teach you even if you are a complete beginner. Website is www.summerkeys.com; violin weeks are in August.

It's a really fun, great, supportive enviroment and the concerts every evening are always AWESOME!
