Does anyone know which publisher print this sheet music?
Hello!
I'm really interested in receiving a copy of Ghys/Servais Variations on God Save the King
to play them with my cellist brother, could you send me a copy by fax, post or email?

Dear,
nice to hear that you are also interested in the Servais/Ghys variations!
As I explained in my previous message, I don't dispose of a score myself. Four weeks ago I e-mailed to a German cellist who regularly plays the duo (already in Germany, New York and Basel), in order to receive a copy. At the moment I haven't an answer yet.
Don't hesitate to reach me if you have any questions!
All the best,
Peter François

Helpful as ever Clint :)
Apparently Anner Bylsma & Vera Beths have rec. this piece on the Sony "period" label. My dad has this CD.
Could you give some more information about that CD?
I only know about the recording by Gidon Kremer & Martha Sudruba and by Renaud & Gauthier Capuçon (for more information please check the 'Oeuvre' page on www.servais-vzw.org).
I can strongly recommend the reissue of the Servais/Ghys duo by Billaudot, published last month; the Capuçon brothers have done a good job.

February 17, 2005 at 08:05 PM · I am afraid that I don't know a recent edition; I only have the givens (found in Pazdirek) about a reprint by Schlesinger’sche Buch- und Musikhandlung (Robert Lienau), Berlin as “Heil dir im Siegerkranz” (published before 1918 (ca. 1870-1900?)).
I am studying the live and work of the cellist-composer Adrien François Servais (1807-1866), who lived in my town, and travelled all around Europe. In 1835 he visited London, together with the violinist Joseph Ghys, born in Ghent in 1801, one of the greatest Belgian virtuosos of his time. At that time they probably composed the Variations brillantes et concertantes sur “God Save the King”.
There already exist three CDs with a recording of this marvellous duo.
I hope that someone can help us to find a (re)print.
