July 4, 2004 at 06:25 AM · I've been trying to play it and I have no techical problems but I just cant get the piece musically. Any suggestions? I've been listening to the Menuhin early recording.

July 4, 2004 at 03:35 PM · Try reading about what was going on for Elgar at the time he was writing the piece and about the piece. You might find it useful to read about events going on during the same time as well.

July 4, 2004 at 03:36 PM · I have, but his life and habits are just so complicated...

July 4, 2004 at 09:54 PM · Listen to Kennedy's take on it. A really individual approach!

July 14, 2004 at 02:43 PM · umm....i tend to disagree....if anyone's "the best" its gotta be Menuhin. He worked with Elgar!
