June 2, 2004 at 01:26 PM · the score for the Walton violin concerto is available at Luck's:

for those who don't know, Luck's is an awesome resource for individual orchestral parts. A few years ago I bought the first violin parts for a bunch of my favorite orchestral pieces & they've really come in handy.

June 3, 2004 at 11:44 PM · Thanks, you've reminded me - my violin teacher lent me his only copy of a book by a Hungarian called

Rudolph Botta

who was his teacher. It's a book on tone production with a few annotated exercises. I'm interested in finding a published version somewhere, for him as well as for me as his copy is rather worn and fragile. Has anyone seen anything? Thanks
