Menuhin / Grapelli Music Scores

March 27, 2004 at 08:30 AM · Does anyone know of a published score/s of the songs these two giants played... i.e Jealously, Embracable you. If so, who is the publisher? Where can I get it?

I'm not sure if anyone transcribed any of their performances or recordings, but there's an interesting book by Grappelli & Matt Glaser called "Jazz Violin" which has some transcriptions of various jazz violinists' style.

March 27, 2004 at 03:12 PM · Well, Grappelli would have been improvising his. As far as I can remember from reading about it, Menuhin wrote his stuff down before he played it... or maybe that was just on his work with Ravi Shankar? In any event, i don't think it has been published. Try learning it by ear if you're really determined!
