I am looking for feedback on the violin books of Sassmannshaus.
If you have used it/are using it;
how does it compare to other methods:
enough excursuses? enough tunes, for younger or older kids?
how much time do your students spend on one book?
scales and technique in r excluded?
how fast does it move on from one key to another?
is book one organized by keys, finger patterns, or strings?
when are slurs introduced?
etc.
I don't have a music store nearby, so no possibility to browse there. Therefore I turn to this blog.
Thank you!

January 21, 2013 at 12:46 PM · I recently recorded some book review videos just for this purpose - to help people know what is inside the book before purchasing. Not all of us have the luxury of a well stocked music store nearby and these videos allow you to have a sneak peak of the book. I use this method book as a supplemental method book to Suzuki and Solos for Young Violinists. I enjoy this book because it teaches notereading at an early age. The students love it because of the pictures:)
Happy Practicing!
